We are seeking to strengthen our outstanding Management, Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation expertise within the School by appointing additional Lecturers (Australian equivalent to assistant professor) or Senior Lecturers in the School of Management and Governance  

About the role 

A Level B/ Level C (Lecturer/Senior Lecturer) is expected to make contributions to teaching in the School and to carry out activities to maintain and develop his/her scholarly research and professional activities, including publishing in strong relevant academic journals and an appropriate level of engagement in university, industry, government, and/or community roles. 

The role of Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports. The position being offered is tenure track in accordance with the UNSW Enterprise Agreement. 

Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance will be considered and may be offered to the preferred candidate. 


About you: 

You will possess the following skills and experience required as a Level B: 

  • A PhD in Human Resources, Organisation, Management, Strategy, or Entrepreneurship and Innovation or being very close to completion of a PhD. 

  • Expected and/or demonstrated excellence in publishing in relevant top ranked journals in the areas of Organisation and Management, Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. 

  • A demonstrated ability for teaching and curriculum development at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in Management. 

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff and students from diverse backgrounds. 

  • An ability to supervise honours and postgraduate research students. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Skills and experience required as a Level C (in addition to Level B): 

  • A PhD in Human Resources, Organisation, Management, Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation 

  • A solid record of research publication in strong journals in the areas Organisation and Management, Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. 

  • Record of solid achievement in a managerial role in a university or professional setting and of contribution within these settings. 

  • A record of academic excellence with an outstanding contribution to teaching and research at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

  • Capacity and experience to contribute strongly to the development of research, teaching, and programs relevant to the discipline area.
