Job Summary
Johnson County Community College is looking to fill an adjunct faculty position in Journalism and Media Communications, beginning in January 2022. The successful applicant will teach the Broadcast Performance course. Areas of significant interest include techniques necessary to effectively communicate messages through basic announcing skills. Interviewing, radio and television news, and commercial announcing are some of the topics covered in this course, which will allow students to polish their skills through performances in the college studio.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, video, broadcasting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in Journalism or related field
Experience in broadcast media as an announcer, anchor, producer, or related position
