IT Systems Analyst

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Systems Analyst will support the various campus data systems and share responsibility with the Technology Team to research, develop, and support technology and its advancement at the University.

This position is responsible for supporting, reviewing, analyzing, and configuring administrative information systems.  This position will analyze business requirements, design and develop reporting solutions, develop operational workflows and documentation, and train users.  This position will work with users to identify and improve business processes and operating procedures.  The major systems of responsibility are Jenzabar One, Jenzabar JICS, Jenzabar JRM, PowerFAIDS, and InfoMaker.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Investigate and resolve application functionality issues and provide support and troubleshooting of Jenzabar One, JICS, JRM, PowerFAIDS, InfoMaker, and other systems as needed.
  • Provide assistance, advice, and training to users in effective use of administrative systems.
  • Work with users to generate reports and queries, validate data, and implement changes or controls to ensure data requirements and accuracy.
  • Serve as a liaison with vendors to address and resolve administrative system issues.
  • Assist in the system design and functional specifications for new administrative system projects including integrations among multiple systems.
  • Assist with maintaining system and application security.
  • Assist with installation and upgrades of administrative system software.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong relational database experience using MS SQL Server.
  • Analytical problem solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or similar degree combined with relevant work experience.
