St. Catherine University invites applications for an Senior Admissions Counselor position in the Office of Admission in the College for Women. This is a full-time, regular position.

The Senior Admissions Counselor will represent the university to prospective students and their families and assist the Admissions team in reaching recruitment goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Counsel and advise prospective students and their families about admission to the College for Women.
  • Review admission applications and conduct interviews.
  • Cultivate a geographic territory through visiting high schools, attending college fairs, and calling to respond to inquiries and connect with applicants.
  • Counsel and advise prospective students and their families about costs and financial aid.
  • Assist with coordination of campus visit programs, including New Student Registration programs, Junior Visit Day, Spring Spotlight and others.
  • Host small group visits for first year inquiries.
  • Manage a high volume of PSEO applicants, including advising students hosting a number of registration events per year.
  • Communicate respectfully and build relationships of trust with people of all cultures and abilities, affirming the worth and preserving the dignity of individuals, families, and communities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One year of full-time work experience in admission, college advising, college counseling, financial literacy, or financial education. This could also include experience as a teaching assistant or experience counseling high school students on college preparation and affordability.
  • Experience planning and conducting small and large group presentations and/or programs.
  • Knowledge of admission recruitment and financial aid cycles.





Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Slate, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
