Position Description

Visiting Assistant Professor of Musicology for the 2023-2024 academic year, non-tenure track, full-time with benefits package.

Responsibilities include teaching two sections of Music of the 20th and 21st Centuries for music majors in Fall 2023, and three musicology/ethnomusicology courses chosen according to field of specialization and departmental needs in Spring 2024.

Qualification

The successful candidate will have a completed Ph.D. in musicology or ethnomusicology before August 16, 2023.

A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and expertise in 20th- and 21st-century music are required. A scholarly field in opera is recommended, but others will be considered.
