The University of Puget Sound is hiring an Assistant to the Vice President for Enrollment to join our Enrollment Division! This role manages a wide range of complex administrative operations in support of the work of the Enrollment Division and the division's Vice President. Interacts with multiple internal Puget Sound administrative departments as well as with external constituents including prospective students and families, alumni, vendors, and community organizations.

This position is:

• Regular
• Part-time (.75 FTE)
• Hours are somewhat flexible, but anticipate the individual to work 9:00a – 3:00p Monday - Friday

Please note:

-Positions that work less than .75 FTE (1,560 hours per year) do not qualify for long-term disability or education benefits.
-Positions that work less than .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will accrue paid sick leave but are not eligible for additional benefits.
-Temporary positions that work at least .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will be eligible for benefits after 6 months of continuous employment.

To be considered for this role, a candidate must:

• Post-secondary education preferred; high school diploma required.
• Five or more years of administrative support experience required.
• Candidates will have the ability to:
- Consistently represent the Vice President and university in a professional manner, always maintaining composure and maintaining positive working relationships. Professional, personable, and friendly demeanor. Excellent "customer service" skills.
- Quick learner who is comfortable and skilled with fast-paced instructions and work production.
- Work independently, solve problems, handle confidential information, and navigate sensitive situations.
- Manage and estimate budgets.
• Candidates will possess:
- High level of attention to details and accuracy
- Exceptional organizational skills, initiative, follow-through, ability to multi-task and switch gears as needed. Must work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing. Must have reliable written and grammatical skills
- Superior scheduling competencies
• Respectfully work, communicate, and provide leadership within a diverse campus community.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The pay range for this position is $24.00 to $26.22 per hour.Decisions about starting salaries are made based on the extent and relatedness of the candidate's education and experience and on internal equity and market considerations.
• This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
