The University of Puget Sound is hiring a Student Financial Services Coordinator to join our Student Financial Services Department!

The position serves as a first point of contact via phone, email, and face to face interactions between Student Financial Services and students (undergraduate and graduate) and contributor family members regarding student finances at Puget Sound. Matters include financial aid application status, financial aid status, student accounts receivables and account status and account payment options.

Student Financial Services is part of the Enrollment Division at the University of Puget Sound. We provide holistic, comprehensive student financial support to all enrolled students and their contributors in the areas of financial aid and student accounts receivable. We partner with student service areas across campus to include housing, dining, registration, academic advising, student affairs and academic affairs.

-Positions that work less than .75 FTE (1,560 hours per year) do not qualify for long-term disability or education benefits.
-Positions that work less than .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will accrue paid sick leave but are not eligible for additional benefits.
-Temporary positions that work at least .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will be eligible for benefits after 6 months of continuous employment.

To be considered for this role, a candidate must:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis business management, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum of one year of work experience in accounting, business management, customer service, or a related field and demonstration of increasing levels of responsibility.
• Personal computing competencies to include networks, Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, email
• Possess excellent organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, composure, and positive working relationships.


Compensation and Benefits:

• The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $21.20 per hour. Decisions about starting salaries are made based on the extent and relatedness of the candidate's education and experience and on internal equity and market considerations
• This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
