Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to administer employment services (e.g., recruitment, hiring, and program coordination) for SHRA, SHRA temporary, EHRA non-faculty, EHRA non-faculty temporary employees, work-aid students, Graduate Assistance students and stipend recipient positions. The position serves as a professional and technical resource manager for policy administration and interpretation of Federal, State, and University rules, regulations, policies, and requirements of the employment processes relevant to recruitment efforts for hiring new all classes of SHRA, EHRA & student employees; ensuring adequate and equitable compensation; and reporting requisite and related activities.



Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and two years of progressively responsible professional human resources management experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of federal and state employment regulations, laws, and policies, especially in the area of interpreting and applying I-9 and employment eligibility guidelines and regulations; knowledge of Banner, E-Verify and BDMS Systems; proficiency knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Applications; knowledge of record management; ability to advise and resolve questions, exercising appropriate levels to discretionary judgment; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.
