Job Details
Manhattanville College is seeking a Program Coordinator to support The Center for Inclusion. The Program Coordinator will create student programming that supports a student population of various identities and experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver student programming and workshops that supports an inclusive and welcoming campus community
- Provide logistical support for major community events and initiatives to engage students from under-represented populations
- Design, market, and implement cultural heritage and identity month celebrations
- Develop and coordinate special programs featuring local alums, educators, community leaders, business representatives, and government officials
- Develop newsletters, flyers, and/ or brochures as requested.
- Maintain bulletin boards.
- Assist in analyzing trends and data for reports
- Partner in developing and providing strategies, resources, and programs for historically underrepresented and international students that promote dialogue, mattering and belonging
- Champion thoughtful use of student engagement platforms
- Participate and assist with college-wide committees, programs, activities, and or training as needed.
- Support and collaborate with Multi-Cultural Student Clubs and Organizations
- Other duties as assigned
Core Competencies/Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key competencies:
- Comprehensive knowledge in principles and practices of social justice and student development Excellent written oral and written communication skills Ability to communicate with a student population of various identities and experiences Experience working with conflict resolution
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Required, masters preferred. Experience in developing and delivering student programming for various student identities and experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of immigration and cultural adjustment preferred
