The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of surgical pathology with an emphasis on gastrointestinal pathology. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) from the American Board of Pathology and an unrestricted PA medical license/eligibility are required.

Teaching responsibilities include the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as formal lecture opportunities within the department.

Clinical responsibilities include sign-out in the subspecialty of surgical pathology and frozen section as well as clinical pathology coverage at Pennsylvania Hospital and occasional sign out at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
