Postdoctoral Research Associate, CORE Lab

About the Opportunity

The CORE Lab at Northeastern University is seeking a postdoctoral research scholar to join our team investigating the relationship between cognition and science education. Current projects in the lab investigate how people's intuitive theories and biases influence how they learn science (e.g., biology, ecology, climate change), understand the social world, and conceptualize phenomena like crime and punishment, religion, and history.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration as a team member on multiple research projects
  
  
• Supervising and coordinating undergraduate research assistants
  
  
• Working with PI to mentor doctoral students
  
  
• Designing experiments, collecting data, analyzing and writing papers for publication
  
  
• Pursuing independent research projects consistent with the focus of the CORE Lab
  
  Qualifications
  
  PhD degree in psychology or related field, interest in applied cognitive research.
  
  Preferred Qualifications
  
  Experience designing and executing research studies in on intuitive thinking and science education, previous research experience in CORE Lab.
