"One postdoctoral research associate position is available immediately in the Baozhong Wang lab at the Institute for Biomedical Sciences at Georgia State University to study the immune correlates of newly designed nanoparticle and dissolvable microneedle patch-based universal influenza vaccines. This position is funded by NIH grants. Researchers in this position will be compensated the standard NIH postdoctoral fellow salary and have university benefits.

We are seeking a self-motivated and goal-driven postdoctoral candidate, with a PhD or MD/PhD in immunology, virology, microbiology, or related fields and who are skilled in immunological analysis and related disciplines. The function of this position is to evaluate nanoparticle vaccine candidates in mouse and ferret models, generate and characterize tagged protein constructs and purified proteins from insect and mammalian cell culture for nanoparticle generation and characterization, collect and analyze tissue samples from model animals for antibody and cellular immune responses, perform challenge studies in animal models with live influenza viruses, draft manuscripts and grant related documents, help maintain a clean and healthy working lab space, and provide bio-nanotechnology, immunology, and virology expertise and advice to students and other lab members.

Qualifications :

Ph.D. in related field required.
