The Renovations Department is seeking (1) Security Camera Tech to join the already awesome team taking the Building Services Department to the next level of excellence!

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The ideal candidate will be able to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain security cameras, including wiring and associated system. Performing installation and service of a wide variety of security camera systems. Having a Georgia Class I restricted license and experience in access control. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain security cameras, their wiring, and associated system components using basic hand tools (testers, toners, voltmeters, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.) and powers tools (drills, cutters, grinders, etc.) In addition to supporting the department Security Camera Tech, assignments will generally fall into one of the following groupings, although overlapping of duties may occur as needed:
  • Maintain and repair electrical components and equipment of the security system using appropriate methods and tools.
  • Examine systems to locate problems, such as loose connections or broken insulation.
  • Able to diagnose problems and provide solutions.
  • Electronic security system installation can occur in new construction or a retrofit environment.
  • Recognize power sources; measure current and signal strength; trace wiring manually and with tools; terminate coax, Ethernet, and phone cables. Pull cable for various security systems.
  • Interpret scopes of work and blueprints. Identify, prepare pathways, and supports for new cabling system installations.
  • Abide by building code standards and company safety standards.
  • Determine material requirements and installation procedures to complete projects.
  • Plan work procedures, follow all state and local codes, prepare as-built drawings, and prepare submittals for project approval.
  • Document operational activities: preparation of documents, such as daily worksheets for invoices or warranties.
  • Demonstrate systems for customers and explain operational details and consequences of improper use, such as false alarms, loss of coverage, etc.
  • Receive work assignments from supervisors, collect tools and materials, and transport materials and tools to the work site.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces at various heights.
  • Competent with hand and power tools and lift up to 75 lbs. Maintain a clean work and storage area.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:
  • Technical or vocational degree and two years of related experience; or a high school diploma or GED and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
  • Able to work on ladders, scissors, or boom lifts.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work safely, following all required safety procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to take and follow directions
  • Able to work independently.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
