Job Description
  • Supervises and coordinates all Federal TRIO grant project components.
  • Ensures the TRIO SSS Program is implemented in full Federal TRIO SSS Program regulations and all other applicable Federal regulations and requirements
  • Oversees participant assessment, monitoring, and implementation of services and activities
  • Administers the budget, approves expenditures, monitors line items, and reconciles the budget with the PI and Business Fiscal Manager
  • Develops, implements, and monitors administrative and professional policies, procedures, and standards for the project and in alignment with campus policies
  • Leads effective marketing and recruitment efforts of prospective students and all stakeholders
  • Oversight for all department hires of SSS staff
  • Serves as the SSS liaison to all campus units and departments, offering services
  • Works with all campus colleges and departments to monitor participant retention and develop policies that will enhance student retention
  • Inform academic, administrative, and service units at UMSL of SSS objectives and procedures
  • Maintains a close liaison with campus programs and community agencies that assist in student referrals and monitoring
  • Prepares Annual Performance Reports for the Department of Education and the campus unit

Monday- Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Occasional evenings and weekends

Salary

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $56,864 - $63,036.000 Annually

UNIVERSITY TITLE: SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or other related area. Relevant professional experience in TRIO Student Support Services, Higher Education, or an Education setting
