Job Description

Primary role is the use of specialized imaging equipment to produce images to help clinicians identify illnesses and injuries. Specialty imaging services may include CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and IR/Cath Lab.

-Produce high quality diagnostic images of patients. Always utilize proper positioning and safety protocols, including proper radiographic techniques such as collimation, MA, Time and KVP

-Read request to ensure proper exams are being performed

-Ensure equipment is in good working order by performing required quality control. Troubleshoot problems as they arise

-Supervision of veterinary students while on radiology rotation

-Assist the radiologist in performing fluoroscopic examinations

Salary

Hiring at $22.00 - $25.00/hour, commensurate with experience

Minimum Qualifications

ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Radiography program graduates must obtain ARRT within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience and knowledge/experience with animal handling and positioning.
