Job Details

Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a research associate to help analyze the Urban and Bedouin Qatari dialectal data we collected during The Qatar Linguistic Map (QLM) Project.
We are seeking to hire part-time research associate to participate in the project.
Responsibilities:

1-tWill be to employ advanced analytical techniques and methodologies to derive meaningful insights from the collected data.
2-tWill also assist in the interpretation of the results, providing clear and concise summaries of the findings for reports, presentations, and academic publications.
3-tWill collaborate with the project team to draw meaningful conclusions and develop actionable recommendations based on the analysis outcomes.
4-tIn addition to their analytical responsibilities, the research assistant may also be involved in conducting literature reviews, staying updated with the latest research and advancements in the field.
5-tThey may have the opportunity to contribute to the writing of research papers, abstracts, thus enhancing their own academic and professional growth.

Qualifications Required.
•tMust be a native speaker of the Qatari dialect.
•tLinguistic skills should include awareness of grammar, syntax, and morphology of Arabic.
•tPrevious relevant professional experience is a plus.
•tComfortable with using computers.
•tFlexibility and ability to prioritize tasks effectively according to the project requirements.
•tResearch and work on Arabic and dialectology is a major plus.
•tYou muse be residing in Qatar.
