Minimum $42,600 ANNUAL (12 months)

Job Summary:

The Department of Urology at the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) is seeking an individual to provide day-to-day operational support to Dr. Kristina Penniston, PI and Co-Investigator of U24 Urology Interactions Core.

Responsibilities: Develops and drafts communication content and assists in the execution of the communications strategy in support of unit communication goals.
  • 25% Monitors reach and effectiveness of communication campaigns, projects, and initiatives
  • 20% Plans editorial content according to established goals and objects
  • 20% Communicates with stakeholders to verify requests and identify editorial resources
  • 20% Writes, edits, and publishes content for various communication projects and marketing platforms to align with strategic initiatives and established communication campaigns
  • 15% Provides project management and execution of communications programs, initiatives, and tactical plans

Education:

Preferred
Master's Degree
Desired specialization may include biology, nutritional science, statistics, data or computer science, math, or communications.

Qualifications:

Required:
o Prior experience in research or biomedical setting required.
o Prior experience with managing organizational communications and analytics required.
o Expertise in study design, including identifying appropriate outcomes and metrics for evaluation
o Expertise with using various social media platforms for promoting organizations
o Expertise in Google analytics and other platforms (e.g., Zoho, HopperHQ, etc.)
o Expertise with WordPress or similar website content management software
o Knowledge of scientific literature regarding use of social media in science
o Excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills
o Excellent organizational and management abilities
o Excellent time management and attention to detail
o Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Qualtrics, and REDCap
o Proficiency in using PubMed, Scopus, and other abstract/citation databases
o Strong writing and oral communication skills
Preferred:
o Experience with scientific writing, submitting manuscripts
o Experience in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams consisting of researchers, clinicians, administrators, and support staff

Full Time: 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
