Description
The Hampton University Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in the areas of introductory majors (BIO 105, BIO 106) and non-majors biology courses (BIO 101, BIO 103), Anatomy and Physiology (BIO 224), biotechnology (BIO 311) and microbiology (BIO 304) beginning August 2023. Adjunct faculty are needed for both lecture and/or lab courses.
Founded in 1868, Hampton University is a leading historically black university (HBCU) located on the Virginia Peninsula in the City of Hampton. It is a privately endowed, co-educational, nonsectarian institution. The Department of Biological Sciences offers three concentration tracts in the Bachelor of Science degree as well as offers two Master of Science Degrees: Biology and Medical Science.
Duties and Responsibilities
Faculty in the Department of Biological Sciences are expected to teach as well as be available for student consultations and questions on the subject matter. The faculty is expected to strongly engage with the students and maintain the department’s high standards.
Qualifications
Faculty seeking an adjunct position must have a Masters Degree and at least 18 credit hours (Masters Level) in the related fields of the biological sciences.
