Position: Assistant/Associate Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics
(9-month tenure-track, 75% Research, 25% Teaching)

Subject: Economics of Agricultural Systems

Department: Agricultural and Resource Economics, Institute of Agriculture, The University of
Tennessee, Knoxville, TN,

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: 1) develop a nationally-recognized
research program focusing on the economics of food, fiber, and fuel production,
processing, and marketing systems; 2) teach graduate or undergraduate courses
in the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics; 3) publish in high
quality disciplinary and multidisciplinary journals; 4) acquire extramural funding;
5) mentor and supervise students; and 6) participate in service activities of the
Department, College, University, and profession. The expected start date is
January 1, 2023.


Ph.D., or ABD with an expected completion date before January 1, 2023, in
agricultural economics, economics, or closely related field; excellent
communication skills; ability to work in disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams.
