Minimum Education/Training/Experience
Bachelors required, Masters preferred. Relevant experience with demonstrated success in coordinating projects with many cross community/campus and external constituents. Experience with leading and managing organization-wide projects or programs.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Experience in higher education administration, college student development, counseling, or related field is preferred.
Minimum Knowledge & Skills
· Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with multiple constituencies across campus.
· Experience working with diverse groups of students.
· Knowledge of theories and best practices regarding the academic development of students.
· Prior experience in planning and implementation of complex projects.
· Working knowledge of student management systems, such as Colleague, Navigate Zogotech, etc.
· Knowledge of grant rules and ·regulations.
· General knowledge of college programs, requirements, policies, and procedures.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
· Strong planning, facilitation, and presentation skills
· Ability to work independently as well as to function effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
· Ability to work with culturally diverse staff and populations and a variety of educational personnel and community audiences
· Possess strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
· Proficient with computer applications; a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office suite
· Ability to prioritize work and perform multiple tasks
· Excellent interpersonal skills, follow-through and persistence working with students, faculty and staff, administration, and the community

Job Duties
- Coordinate community events and workshops as part of the mission of the Hispanic Cultural Center. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
- Determine needs of Hispanic population in COM”s service district and develop programming and support services to collaborate with other community resources to address these needs.
- Assist Enrollment Management with Outreach events within the community as needed.
- Coordinate cultural community Family Day event on campus each Fall.
- Develop community partnerships and create network of community members to connect COM to the Hispanic population within its service area; maintain connections with this network via written and in person contacts.
- Work with Marketing Department to identify appropriate marketing strategies and materials to promote the Hispanic Cultural Center.
- Collaborate and consult with Title V leaders to develop long-term Hispanic Cultural Center planning, oversight and growth.
- Collaborate with Student Services, Instruction and Institutional Advancement in the development of grant-funded projects that align with COM’s strategic plans.
- Analyze and evaluate program effectiveness. Assist with implementing ongoing formative and summative evaluation, data reporting and analytics, and monitoring outcomes for continuous improvement. Assist external evaluator, as required.
- Other program duties as assigned.
Positions in this class typically require stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, and repetitive motions.
The position requires lifting 10-15 pounds, the ability to push a cart and assist with event set-up.
