The position provides operational oversight for the Division of Information Technology Instructional/Class Support. Instructional/Class Support includes all classroom and computer laboratory technology. Work includes participating in developing strategic and tactical objectives, designing and managing initiatives to meet objectives for instructional learning, participating and potentially chairing technology advisory committees or subcommittees, managing classroom, and computer laboratory hardware and software upgrades, managing deployment of new hardware, applications and systems, addressing user issues and concerns along with routine assessment of offered services to determine their efficiency and effectiveness along with customer satisfaction levels. Position will also provide administration functions for the following tools: JAMF Pro, SCCM, , Crestron XIO, and Cisco Webex Control Hub for devices, Nutanix Frame (as a backup), Auditing functions for vulnerabilities, patch management, hardware, software, Webex, and Crestron.

Ideal candidate will have prior experience in Higher Education IT, specifically including:

  1. Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM) for Windows devices, including:

     

    1. Creating, updating, and maintaining software applications, scripts, and related packages.
    2. Management of Windows imaging, including task sequence management and updates, driver and driver package updates, and other related tasks.
    3. Software Update experience for Microsoft products (including OS), and third-party patching through PatchMyPC.
    4. Reporting, to include documentation in support of IT Auditing.
  2. Jamf Pro for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS devices within in a multi-site tenant, specifically:
    1. Creating and maintaining application deployments, configuration profiles, and Jamf patch policies for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS devices.
    2. Reporting, to include documentation in support of IT Auditing.
  3. InTune (New Deployment) for Windows devices, including:
    1. Development of compliance policies, configuration profiles (CSO’s), scripts, and other related tasks.
    2. Device Enrollment, including Windows 11 deployment and migration of existing devices currently running Windows 10.
    3. Migration from Hybrid Active Directory to native AzureAD bound devices.
    4. Endpoint Security management, including Microsoft Defender ATP policies and configuration.
    5. Reporting, to include documentation in support of IT Auditing.
  4. Other Desktop Management experience, including:
    1. Active Directory experience, particularly including Group Policy creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
    2. Security tool management, including Microsoft Defender ATP and Cisco Secure Endpoint (formerly Cisco AMP).
    3. Software package creation and maintenance.
    4. Manage end user security rights management systems in compliance with ISO 27002 and campus standards.

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: Mid- to late-career with Masters and 2-4 years experience;
Bachelors and 3-5 years experience.

Management Preferences:  Higher Ed Experience, 3 – 5 years Desktop Management Experience; Bachelor’s Degree; Familiarity with: SCCM/InTune/Autopilot, JAMF Pro, SCCM, Crestron and Webex Platforms, AV Programming, Classroom Design, Classroom Integration, Nutanix Frame.
