Assistant Vice Chancellor, Professional and Continuing Education

The California State University (CSU) System seeks an innovative and collaborative leader as its Assistant Vice Chancellor, Professional and Continuing Education.  This is a particularly exciting time as the new Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) has the opportunity to re-envision and expand Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) to better serve students who seek a non-traditional path to persist and be successful in higher education.  This forward-thinking leader works with internal and external stakeholders to advance a shared vision and strategic plan for PaCE credit and non-credit programs to deliver high-quality, fully-online and hybrid education. 

The AVC is a systemwide position and reports directly to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic and Student Affairs. In addition to overseeing PaCE within the Office of the Chancellor, the AVC is a key leadership partner for the Commission on Continuing and Professional Education (CPaCE), online education strategy, external workforce development groups, career training and professional development.   A key focus is to develop strategic partnerships to meet the market demands of California’s various corporate and nonprofit interests.
