Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of the Internet Specialist/Technology Trainer is to provide consultation, support, and training for technology based systems and the Law Schools' Internet presence. This is advanced technical work and may provide technical support for hardware an software used by the Law School. IT specialists have the responsibility to support the day-to-day operations of a computer network. Their job is to make sure that network systems keep communications and information flowing secure and smoothly.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the area of assignment; or bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the area of assignment; or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
This position requires extensive knowledge of web based development tools and software. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, HTML, JAVA, Dreamweaver, Flash, Netscape Enterprise Server, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Unix is a necessary. Essential skills include the ability to work well as a team member and to communicate effectively both written and orally. Employee must possess good interpersonal skills, a superior record in web development. professional knowledge and experience in Internet technologies, Employee must have ability to communicate and explain technical information to be a technical resource to others.
