    The Lundquist College of Business is one of seven schools housing academic programs on the University of Oregon campus. Located 110 miles south of Portland, the University of Oregon has an enrollment of over 25,000.     Position Summary

    The Lundquist College of Business Advising and Student Experience Office provides a professional and vibrant experience for our undergraduate and graduate student communities. The Assistant Director of Graduate Student Experience will have the opportunity to work with a team of staff and faculty that is dedicated to the success of graduate students from the time they enter our programs up to and including the time that they become alumni.

    The Assistant Director serves as an academic advisor and assists in the management and implementation of student advising and experience for Eugene-based master's students in the Lundquist College of Business. This position is integral in decisions regarding course waivers, the fulfillment of programmatic course prerequisites and requirements, and the implementation of policies related to academic performance and probation. This position will work closely with the Associate Director of Graduate Student Experience, and key stakeholders throughout the college, to ensure a high-quality experience for incoming and current students. This position is integral in the coordination and management of programmatic student experiential opportunities such as trips and events.

    This is a full-time, 12-month Officer of Administration position that reports to the Associate Director of Graduate Student Experience.     Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with three years of experience in student services (or an equivalent combination of education and experience equating to seven years)

  • Ability to support and encourage diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace and within the graduate student community
  • Effective communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage projects effectively
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and effective manner with faculty, administrators, students, alumni, and community partners
  • Knowledge of advising and counseling techniques
  • Office applications and database management skills
  • Ability to travel as needed (domestic and international travel)

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education
  • Background in project management
  • In-depth knowledge of post-degree employment opportunities and practices for students graduating from a business school
