Job Summary/Basic Functions

88.9 WEKU, a dynamic and growing public radio organization serving Lexington, Kentucky seeks an experienced, creative, and driven Business Partnership Manager passionate about public radio and helping Kentucky businesses grow.

The Business Partnership Manager is responsible for driving revenue to WEKU by generating sales and developing new business relationships.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate and Community Support, you'll work with businesses and organizations to connect them with public radio audiences through broadcast on nine Central and Eastern Kentucky public radio stations including 88.9 WEKU, as well as digital sponsorships on weku.org and the WEKU mobile App.

This position has a base salary of $40,000 and offers commission for collected sales with an earning potential of over $100,000

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree is required.

Experience: 3 years of proven outside sales experience

Licensure & Certifications: Must have a valid state driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Job Duties:

• 55% - Build relationships with potential clients through prospecting and networking with Lexington and Central Kentucky businesses. - (Essential)
• 40% - Close commissioned-based sales agreements with clients to meet sales goals to support WEKU mission. - (Essential)
• 5% - Supports department functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Marginal)

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
