Job Summary

The Administrator, Academic Program position would plan, design, develop, execute, and manage strategies to recruit and retain Academic Excellence Program participants in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering and programs (Sunday Tutorials, Summer Engineering Enrichment Program, prospective recruiting events, collaborative learning sessions, and professional development events).

Essential Functions

  • Assists program director with a variety of high-level administrative/professional program support responsibilities.
  • Coordinates program/services activities to ensure relevant guidelines, specifications, policy and/or procedures are enforced and followed.
  • Provides information to and facilitates communication between administrators, faculty, staff, and prospective students and parents, and current students concerning program/services.
  • Maintains relevant databases to ensure accurate and accessible records current students, graduates, and former students
  • Coordinates and organizes courses/classes/projects to include activities such as student registration, room scheduling, and ensuring appropriate equipment is available.
  • Monitors budget and grant funding and ensures expenditures are within specifications and in line with spending projections; will research, write, submit, and administer grants and proposals for submission.
  • Prepares, reviews, and edits an assortment of communications through various media outlets.

Candidate must have full comprehension of management systems and procedures; exemplary planning and time management skills; ability to multitask, the ability to organize, and prioritize daily workload.

Must have the ability for discretion and confidentiality, high level verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to build and maintain positive relationships with others in administrative offices across campus.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills. Have demonstrated knowledge of financial management, the ability to successfully work both independently and in a team environment.

Minimum Technology Skills

Proficient use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Zoom, and standard office equipment.
