Position Summary:
As part of University Marketing and Communications, the Copywriter researches, writes and edits materials (including brochures, emails, invitations, presentations, print and online advertising and web copy), that ensure key messages reach, engage and persuade target audiences, including prospective students and families. This position is a member of a creative team that collaborates closely to support the marketing needs of the Division of Enrollment Management, including producing compelling, innovative, results-oriented marketing to support developing new markets, recruitment and retention. This position will ensure projects are delivered as promised in terms of content and help ensure the production of high-quality, high-impact marketing materials that meet the specified requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, marketing, communication, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in marketing or related fields.
- Excellent written communication skills with a solid portfolio of work that demonstrates skill in analysis, creativity and marketing/advertising.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to follow through and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
- Two years of experience with brand marketing strategy, digital and interactive projects, and traditional marketing communications.
- Proficiency in AP style.
- Demonstrated ability to generate innovative solutions to marketing and communication challenges.
- Ability to manage details - be attentive, accurate and thorough.
- Commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly establish rapport with people.
- Team player, enthusiastic and confident communicator.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
The University will continue to monitor the state of the pandemic on campus and in the community as well as developments in federal and state requirements, and also will continue to regularly consult with public health officials and our medical panel. As has been the case throughout the pandemic, our protocols and requirements are subject to change depending on conditions on campus or in our community, and government requirements.
