Job Summary/Basic Functions
Seeking EKU Camp Counselors for the Summer 2023 EKU Psychology Inner Space Camp, June 11- June 16, 2023.
The 5-day residential camp, June 11-16, 2023, provides regional rising high school campers with a preview of life as a college student. They participate in hands-on psychology-related activities, meet with various University representatives, and participate in fun team-building projects.
Camp Counselors will report to the Camp Director. Must be available for training and camp preparations the week of June 5-June 9, 2023. Responsibilities include supervision of assigned high school level campers and assisting with all evening activities. Must be available to live on-campus with campers during the camp week of June 11-16.
Must be eligible for Summer session Institutional Work Study and a current/former EKU Psychology undergraduate or graduate student. Must be 18 or older and complete a background check for working with minors. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working with high school students. Shifts will vary depending on INWS qualifications and shift availability. The position pays $500 for the camp. Food and lodging will be provided.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled at EKU
- Must be eligible for EKU Summer Institutional Work Study. Must be 18 years of age or older and complete a background check for working with minors. Must be available to live on-campus with campers during the camp week of June 11-16.

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
