Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Registrar supports Weber State University's mission to increase the academic achievement and persistence of its students to graduation. In support of that role, the Registrar is committed to enhancing the user experience for students and other university stakeholders. The Registrar is responsible for the administration of all services and operations in the Registrar's Office. Primary duties and responsibilities include the management, integrity, and security of all student academic records and curricular functions in an efficient and innovative environment; establishment of policies and procedures for the equitable and consistent administration of University academic policies and procedures; administration of registration activities; course and room scheduling; transfer articulation; university catalog; serving as the University's degree certifying official; certification of eligibility for athletic competition; and maintaining the University catalog.

Required Qualifications:
Masters degree

Minimum of four years of progressively responsible management experience in higher education.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of student information systems (e.g., Ellucian Banner, curriculum management software)
Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience supervising full-time, professional staff
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of federal laws and professional best practices regarding privacy of student records (e.g., FERPA)
Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration across diverse groups including students, faculty, academic advisors, staff and alumni
