The Citadel DoD Cyber Institute (CDCI) invites applications for a full-time Cybersecurity Manager who will lead the operations of all technology used within the Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences (CCS) and CDCI. This position will coordinate with the Department Head of CCS / Director of CDCI, Deputy Director of CDCI, Project Coordinator, Security Operations Center (SOC)/Cyber Training Staff, and CCS department faculty staff as applicable. The current computing resources within the CCS and CDCI include: Security Operations Center (SOC), Citadel Cyber Range, Netlab+, VMWare vCloud Director, and several cyber lab and classroom environments.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Lead the operations of all technology used within the Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences and Citadel DoD Cyber Institute.
- Manage and create lab environments as required by instructors in CCS.
- Design and/or implement training needed for utilizing technology provided in the Security Operations Center (SOC), cyber range, cyber labs, and classrooms.
- Maintain application and support systems including, but not limited to, Netlab+, VMWare vCloud Director, Security Operations Center (SOC), cyber range, cyber labs, and classroom environments.
- Track renewal dates for all licenses and agreements needed to support the Security Operations Center (SOC), cyber range, cyber labs, and classrooms and work with Project Coordinator to ensure continuity of services.
- Lead the design and implementation of new systems to simplify lab management, as well as coordinate software installs. Ensure the integrity of lab software images.
- Identify and apply controls, procedures, and best practices for maintaining information security of hardware, server resources, and systems.
- Research new technologies and perform other related duties as may be assigned; coordinate with Information Technology Services (ITS) for successful operations of the technologies within the Security Operations Center (SOC), cyber range, cyber labs, and classrooms; manage and coordinate with cyber staff direct reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in an Information Technology (IT) related field and experience in technology, operations and infrastructure and people management. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with VMWare environments, Windows, and Linux environments are highly desirable.
