Global Studies Adjunct Professor

Manhattanville College is seeking an adjunct professor to teach a Global Studies class, World Cultures through Literature and Film, for the Fall 2023 semester (August 28 – December 20). Please note that if the Fall semester is successful, there will be the possibility of future employment.

Format: Course will be scheduled to run fully in-person in the Fall at Manhattanville College on Mondays & Thursdays, 4:15-5:35.

Course Description: 

This course will examine selected literary texts both as expressions of specific national identities and in their inter-cultural relatedness. Though historical roots will be treated, emphasis will be on contemporary manifestations of the intellectual and cultural heritage of Western and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. 

Requirements/Preferences

Applicants should possess an MA or PhD in English Literature or a related discipline.  Previous experience teaching required. To apply, please send cover letter and CV to jobs@mville.edu.
