Position Description

Designs implements, and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to Identifying funding opportunities, conducting program assessments, preparing program reports, overseeing and managing program marketing and communications, managing program databases, supervising program staff, planning research activities, coordinating program events, participating in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Work with the Assistant Dean for Medical Education to manage the Continuing Medical Education department
  • Directs and oversees the daily functions of the CME department and all CME activities.
  • Work with physicians to complete required documentation by assisting to develop content, assisting with speaker recruitment, and serving as a campus resource.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments on logistics needed to plan and implement events.
  • Organizes, oversees, and maintains on-site presence as a resource for all CME department-sponsored events.
  • Oversees the financial transactions for CME events.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including editing and proofing.
  • Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with physician and non-physician leaders.
  • A keen eye for detail and design, e.g. of marketing material, webpages, etc.
  • Ability to learn and develop mastery of new technology quickly.
  • Ability to travel to 1-2 training conferences each year.
