Job Summary

The Head Tennis Coach (part-time) is responsible for the overall coordination of the College of Lake County intercollegiate men’s & women’s tennis program. CLC is an affiliate of the NJCAA and the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference.

Required Qualification

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a successful coach.
• Knowledge of NJCAA Bylaws.
• Technical knowledge of the sport of tennis.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong desire to recruit a full and competitive roster.
• A valid driver’s license.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous college coaching experience.
• Demonstrated experience as an effective recruiter.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Summary of Essential Functions

The responsibilities include: Recruiting highly capable students-athletes, conducting practices and off-season workouts, scheduling of matches, travel arrangements, fundraising, championing academic success, and other duties assigned by Director of Athletics.
