Position Summary
The Department of Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University at Buffalo is seeking an Instructional Support Technician.
As an Instructional Support Technician, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Prepare, setup and administer instructional laboratories, including maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Teach 2 sections of laboratory courses per semester in the Fall, Spring and Summer. The courses are PHY 151, 152, 158, or equivalent.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff the responsibility for selection, supervision and evaluation of TA assignments.
- Maintain laboratory inventory and is responsible for the timely ordering of supplies for relevant instructional labs.
- Ensure the safety, security and cleanliness of assigned instructional laboratories. Coordinate proper handling and disposal of hazardous laboratory chemicals.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, or related science
- 2 years experience in a research or instructional laboratory.
- Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
- Master’s degree in Physics, or related science
- Experience in instructional laboratory supervision
