Pay Range Information
Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.

Job Description Summary
The Attallah College School Counseling Fieldwork Coordinator will coordinate cohorts of school counseling fieldwork (practicum and internship) candidates according to California Commission on Teacher Credentialing ( CTC ) and program requirements. The School Counseling Fieldwork Coordinator duties include but are not limited to:
● Supporting school counseling graduate students with fieldwork placement process by tracking clearance for fieldwork through Tevera ( SMS ) and communicate with University Supervisors/program Assistant Director regarding fieldwork site placement approval.
● Co-designing, deliver and tracking the completion of a supervision training for K-12 school counseling fieldwork supervisors.
● Conducting monthly communication throughout the candidate’s placement with supervisors through feedback surveys via email and following up with supervisor as needed online via Zoom, by phone, and/or via email,
● Maintain ongoing communication with University Supervisors regarding monthly supervisor feedback.
● Communicate with University Supervisors/Assistant Director of School Counseling as needed to address candidate questions and concerns.
● Become familiar with all technology including Canvas, Tevera and Working@Chapman;
● Attending program/college meetings as needed; and
● Providing data on all accreditation-related matters, replying to all college surveys, submitting requested updated information, and maintaining open and ongoing communication with Chapman University faculty, staff, and candidates through assigned Chapman email throughout the duration of employment at Chapman University.

- Attend meetings as needed with students and faculty from the school counseling program.
- Communicate with University Supervisors/Assistant Director of School Counseling as needed to address candidate questions and concerns.
- As a state-accredited program all program faculty and staff are responsible for providing data on all accreditation-related matters, replying to all college surveys, submitting requested updated information, and maintaining open and ongoing communication with Chapman University faculty, staff, and candidates through assigned Chapman email throughout the duration of employment at Chapman University.
- Experience in providing administrative support in a professional office.
- Master’s degree in counseling or equivalent
- Valid California pupil personnel services credential authorizing school counseling.
- Experience supervising school counseling fieldwork students at the K-12 level
- Three or more years of school counseling experience in K-12 public schools
- Ability to conduct video-based supervision (e.g., Zoom, Teams) and online communication
- Current knowledge of the adopted California School Counselor Performance Expectations and ASCA comprehensive school counseling standards
- Demonstrated knowledge of hour requirements for school counseling fieldwork candidates
- Demonstrated commitment to furthering equity, diversity, and the improvement of public education.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate students of diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
- Current knowledge of effective school counseling supervision approaches
- Demonstrated ability to build working relationships within educational communities.
