Position is full time calendar year, permanent.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Responsible for budget monitoring and financial reporting associated with the Academic Affairs division. Serve as a strategic partner with Business Managers and Directors of Finance within the colleges to ensure healthy financial performance and management within the Incentive Based Budget (IBB) model.

Develop recommendations to remediate financial issues within the Academic Affairs division. Develop cost feasibility analyses related to special projects and new ventures on behalf of the Provost and Assistant Vice President, Financial Strategy & Planning. Perform complex and comprehensive work including forecasting, research analysis, trend analysis, financial modeling, PS query management and report writing related to budget preparation and submission.

Provide ongoing support to the Deans, Directors, Provost Senior Leadership Team, and particularly the Vice Provost for Academic Personnel and Budget, and professional staff. Working with the Vice Provost for Academic Personnel and Budget, track faculty hiring, start-up commitments and other Provost commitments across various funding sources to ensure strategic alignment and most effective use of resources. Research, develop, evaluate, and formulate modifications and improvements to budgeting policies and financial procedures. Independently evaluate and review complex technical information and prepare comprehensive analyses, plans, and reports on components of the Academic Affairs division’s budget.
