Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Program Technical Coordinator position. The Program Technical Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Senior Director in executing the Lively Arts Series (LAS) and Fine Arts Galleries programs, managing, and operating the Science Center Theater, acting as the Liaison with LAS Guest Artists and venue rental clients, ensures artist production, logistical and technical support are met for the Lively Art Series in Blue Bell, Pottstown, and throughout Montgomery County. In addition, assists the Senior Director in managing the venue scheduling and supervise the completion of all rental contracts in the Theater or any other rentals occurring in the venue.
*The PA Child Abuse clearance, the PA State Police clearance, and the FBI Fingerprints are required before the candidate starts on their first day.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- BA/BS in Theatre, Arts Management, Entertainment Management, Theater Management or an equivalent related degree required. Valid driver’s license is required. Three to five years’ experience in production, company, artists, or stage management required. Minimum two years’ experience working within a performing arts organization, with a tour management firm or a managing a touring artists. Discipline specific knowledge of the arts logistics required. Experience in producing programs and/or special projects for a diverse clientele. Experience and expertise in operating a variety of theatrical equipment. Strong organizational and project management skills; demonstrated ability to prioritize work with limited supervision. Excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving skills with an ability to pay close attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and work with diverse populations within the College and the community.
