Dept. of History, Philosophy, Political Science and Economics

 

When:  Fall 2023 Semester

 

Format: In-Person

 

Course:  HIST 111 United States History to 1877 (3 credit hours)

 

Schedule:  1:00 – 1:50 pm, taught on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

This course offers a broad introduction to U.S. history from the colonial period through the American Revolution, the Early Republic, Westward Expansion, the Civil War, and Reconstruction. There are no prerequisites for the course, which is capped at 25 and enrolls students from a wide variety of majors. A minimum of a master’s degree in history is required. Please submit a resume with evidence of past teaching experience and a detailed course syllabus to the Chair of the department, Dr. Don Williams.
