Job Summary:

Fairleigh Dickinson University ( FDU ) seeks applicants for a Clinical Assistant Professor and Simulation Learning Coordinator within the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences’ (SoP&HS) Physician Assistant (PA) program. Faculty candidates should have a broad understanding of the practice of PA, able to teach various clinical topics and have additional expertise in simulation educational delivery methods.
Effective teaching is the core mission of FDU . The FDU SoP&HS prepares future PAs and other health care professionals for diverse roles across the health care continuum through a culture of learning, scholarship, innovation, advocacy, and leadership. The school hosts additional health sciences disciplines including the following degree programs: Master of Public Health ( MPH ), Master of Social Work ( MSW ), Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD), and post-professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy ( DOT ).
This faculty position is a full-time, 12-month appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, responsible for providing instruction to students in the clinical phase of the PA curriculum. The position also serves administrative duties as a Simulation Learning Coordinator, responsible for facilitating the simulation learning components of the didactic, clinical, and graduate phases of the program. SoP&HS faculty members are expected to support the school’s goal of producing quality instruction, scholarship, and service to the school, university and community.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 5 years clinical and/or teaching experience, Academic experience (preferred)

Education: Graduate of an ARC -PA accredited PA Program, Master’s degree (MS, MPA, MPH ), Doctorate preferred

Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
