Job Summary/Basic Functions

The AV Engineer works as part of the Academic Technology team within the User Support Services Division of Information Technology, is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting audiovisual (AV) systems across the university and plays a critical role in ensuring that AV technologies are effectively utilized to enhance teaching, learning, and communication experiences for faculty, staff, and students.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Certification or graduation from a four year college or university.

Experience: Two or more year's technology support. Preferred in a university setting.

Job Duties:

• 40% - Submit technical recommendations and Audio-Visual System Design documentation including Material Lists, Wiring Diagrams, Scopes of Work, Floor or Wall Section Layout Drawings as appropriate for project needs to support the full technical execution of AV i - ()
• 25% - Participates with the AV Project team and contractors in the planning, installation, and development of AV integrated spaces - ()
• 20% - Configuring and Deploying AV Control systems and automation for AV Projects and technology integrated spaces - ()
• 10% - Coordinating the resolution of escalated AV issues submitted from the AV Support Team - ()
• 5% - Other duties as assigned to insure the efficient operations of the department. - ()
