Opening Details
Williams College is pleased to announce an opening for an Executive Coordinator for Finance, Operations, and General Counsel. This position will provide executive level administrative support, coordination of a variety of financial and operational projects, and performance of recurring duties to the Vice President for Finance and Operations, Associate Vice President, General Counsel, and Assistant General Counsel. The Executive Coordinator serves as a key member of the Vice President’s team and is often involved in discussion relating to the office’s operations. They will be responsible for communication across campus by acting as the point person and coordinating all office activities as well as acting as the main liaison between the Vice President’s office and all other offices.

Responsibilities
The Executive Coordinator will be the main point-of-contact for the VPFO’s office, answering all calls, greeting and guiding guests, and answering inquiries. The Executive Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Vice President, Associate VP, General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel by managing and coordinating projects. This includes scheduling meetings, setting agendas, recording minutes, creating project timelines and task distribution, and monitoring deliverables to ensure completion. They will also be supporting the College’s mortgage program by working with borrowers, banks, and attorneys to assist college employees in their home-buying experience.
Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (a Bachelor’s Degree is considered 2 years of experience).
- High level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues with ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion at all times.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once as well as track and meet required deadlines with limited direction.
- Innovative and flexible team player – regularly working closely with Board members, Senior Staff, Faculty, administrative staff, assistants, and external parties.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft product suite including Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint, as well as Internet research.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
