The responsibility of the Professional STEM Tutor is to assist students with math, statistics, computer science, chemistry, or other STEM-related subjects. Professional STEM Tutors will also lead larger, scheduled, group tutoring sessions, as needed. Professional STEM tutors should at the least be well versed in mathematics (from arithmetic to calculus) and statistics. Ability to tutor science or computer science subjects may vary depending on the tutors background and disciplinary expertise.

These positions are to ensure that students have access to CLAS professional STEM tutors in light of recent/upcoming departures of current CLAS professional STEM tutors. All CLAS STEM tutoring is funded from one budget line, so these positions will not require any additional funding.
