Suffolk Universitys Sawyer Business
School is seeking a leadership development professional to join our
collegial and dynamic Management group within the Management and
Entrepreneurship Department as a non-tenure track instructor. Our
department consists of 16 full-time faculty who leverage their
professional networks in Boston and abroad to bring applied,
experiential, real-world and real-time business challenges into our
classrooms.
We seek an engaging and collaborative
leadership development professional with extensive business
expertise and demonstrated strength in teaching
leadership/management courses with external client project
engagements. Experience in course design is important. This
position will require teaching evening and day classes as well as
online in our undergraduate and graduate programs. This is a
non-tenure track instructor position with a specific focus on
career development support for graduate students. Applicants may be
considered for the additional role of Director of the EMBA program
involving new curriculum implementation/delivery, new student
recruitment, and program management to grow and sustain the EMBA
program.
Position
responsibilities:
Design, develop and teach senior capstone applied project course
for Management majors. This course will be offered both at our
Boston campus as well as potentially weekends and online. This
would require you to be on campus at least three days a week,
available for student meetings, office hours and department
meetings.
Advising, mentoring and coaching of Management majors on
careers.
Work with the Management department faculty and chair to deliver
the applied project based senior capstone class. Potentially also
teach Management major electives and MBA/MMOL graduate
courses.
Support student groups as faculty advisor.
Leverage your network to identify organizations for applied
classroom projects.
Possible EMBA Director role with additional program and curriculum
management.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a masters or doctoral degree (ABD
considered) in a management or business discipline.
Professional experience in the area of leadership, project
management, client management consulting or any other relevant
professional practice.
Proven effectiveness in teaching and course design/curriculum
development.
