Research and Instruction Librarian/Social Sciences Librarian

F.D. Bluford Library of North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for the new position of Research and Instruction Librarian. Reporting to the Head of Research, Instructional, and Engagement Services, this position will be the primary contact for coordinating instruction with faculty and supporting the Library’s teaching and research efforts. This position provides reference, e-learning, outreach, instruction and research support services, and will act as a liaison to the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. This position will serve as a liaison to social sciences, and a Center of Excellence while working collaboratively with others to advance the university’s Research and Instruction initiatives. This is a twelve-month, tenure-track assistant professor position. The work schedule includes some evenings and weekends.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. Knowledge of the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy. Experience in teaching or familiarity with the operation of an academic library at a research institution. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
