Research Associate - Dept of Oncology

Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Research Associate - Dept of Oncology at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):

· Liaison between academic researchers and community partners/consultants/organizational partners in Detroit and throughout the state of Michigan
· Development of outreach strategies to engage community and healthcare stakeholders in research
· Support of behavioral research in negotiating practical and regulatory barriers across multiple clinical sites and organizational
· Management and oversight project plans, project schedules, budgets, and expenditures for select research projects
· Literature reviews, data collection, report writing
· Data management and data analysis

Qualifications:

· MPH degree or Master’s in Psychology or similar field is required
· Two or more years working in a grant-funded research setting
· Experience analyzing data (R, SPSS)
· Ability to manage multiple priorities
· Experience working with diverse populations
· Work well with community members, cancer patients, and clinical and research staff
· Possess critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, and exceptional interpersonal skills
· Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
· Demonstrate sound professional judgment and the ability to maintain confidential information
