We are searching for an experienced Assistant Professor/Associate Professor 046813 at our Detroit campus location.

Essential Functions (Job Duties):

The WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY LAW SCHOOL is seeking to fill up to three entry-level or junior lateral tenure-track faculty members, to begin in Fall 2023. We encourage applications from candidates who will enhance the diversity of our faculty and whose scholarship engages with questions of social justice. Although we welcome applications from candidates in all fields, we have particular interest in the following areas: civil procedure, civil rights and movement lawyering, contracts, and corporate & securities law. Our additional areas of interest include criminal law, employment discrimination, and property law.

Teaching - prepare, teach, and evaluate assigned courses. Use teaching strategies appropriate to learning needs.

Work with other faculty on committees or a task force of a committee.

Initiate research projects in areas of expertise.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited law school with JD degree, prior significant teaching experience or practice experience. Present ability to perform the work required.
