Position Summary: Wingate University is seeking applicants to fill one part-time, adjunct teaching position for the Master of Public Health Program in the Fall 2023 semester. This opportunity will teach graduate online, asynchronous courses, focused on public health practice and public health methods beginning August 2023. Wingate University’s Master of Public Health degree is an integrated curriculum with a focus on health education and promotion. Graduate Course Description: PH620: Principles of Public Health Methods
Credit: 3 hours
Course Overview: This course is focused on the core scientific disciplines - biostatistics and
epidemiology - used to produce evidence for public health policies and programs. At the completion
of this course, students will be able to recommend an appropriate study design for a given research
question and articulate the generalizability of the results.
Education and Experience:
• Master’s Degree or higher in public health required.
• Preferred 1 year of college teaching experience at graduate level.
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS) i.e. Canvas preferred.
• Experience with content development tools e.g. Camtasia, Zoom, Snagit etc. preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Regular access to reliable and high-quality internet
• Personal computer
• Ability to communicate across multiple channels and asynchronously
• Potentially extended periods of sitting or standing
