Job Description

The Facilities Department is seeking applications for full-time custodians in our Housekeeping Department. Promotional opportunities exist with demonstrated good performance. Salary Information:

• Salary starts at $14.00 an hour
• Salary is negotiable based on experience

Responsibilities

• Completes general cleaning and care of the University buildings, which includes dusting, mopping, vacuuming, pulling trash, cleaning restrooms and common areas, and other areas/tasks as assigned
• Completes daily, weekly, monthly, or per-request cleaning routines
• Uses chemicals and equipment as trained with proper PPE
• Audits supplies on carts and in closets, reporting which supplies need to be restocked

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift 40 pounds required
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and routinely lift moderate to heavy objects to perform the functions of this job required
• Ability to pass a physical, lift, and drug test required
• A great attitude is required as well as taking pride in seeing how your work makes the campus a better place
