Job Description

This position serves as a Program Coordinator for the Onward to Opportunity program and is responsible for delivering a best-in-class education and skills training program to assist transitioning service members, veterans, and spouses. This position will physically serve in El Paso, TX and supports delivery of program in the greater El Paso area, covering the military community assigned to and located near Fort Bliss, TX. This position will be based in El Paso at or near the Ft Bliss area and will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and delivery of customized training developed by IVMF, coordinating enrollment of program participants, database management and program outcome data for all leaners, and completion of other tasks as assigned. The position coordinates with the IVMF O2O Senior Program Manager, O2O Program Manager in the state of TX, O2O National Program Director, and IVMF external partners.

This position is anticipated to be filled on a fully remote basis in the El Paso, TX area. Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three (3) plus years training management experience.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and project management experience.
  • Experience in classroom instruction or training environment.
  • Experience working with veterans and/or military families.
  • Experience in CRM /database management (experience with Salesforce preferred).
  • Prior service in the United States military preferred.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including planning and organizing training.
  • Familiarity with government programs and services for transitioning service members and families, veterans, and veteran’s families.
  • Basic database knowledge (preference given to candidates with Salesforce experience).
  • Utilization of existing technologies to synchronize and coordinate across multiple time zones.
  • Recruitment Metrics – Increase in recruitment and applicant pool; successful participant outcomes capture in database.
  • Engagement Metrics – Positive survey results, increased social media, increased utilization /high satisfaction.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the on-site El Paso, TX coordinator for all program participants, instructors, collaborators, and sponsors.
  • Implement customized training programs in a classroom setting as assigned.
  • Manage enrollment of on/off-base training in the El Paso, TX area (in-person and virtually).
  • Assist in developing outreach and recruiting plan for attracting transitioning service members and active-duty spouses in the Fort Bliss Military Community.
  • Assist in actively recruiting by leveraging on base opportunities and organizations (Transition Processing Center, Service member and Family Assistance Center, Career Center) Fort Bliss, TX Military Community.
  • Coordinate program meeting and event space, Audio/Visual requirements and other logistics required at El Paso physical locations.
  • Cultivate appropriate relationships with on-base facilities management and transition offices to support program requirements at physical location.
  • Cultivate appropriate relationships with interested applicants at both locations. Provide candidate pools for each training track.
  • Administer the intake assessment and registration process for all applicants in conjunction with the IVMF Enrollment Services team; assist in advisement in conjunction with the IVMF Communications Team.
  • Communicate with prospective applicants the results of assessments at both locations. Co-lead program orientation sessions with the Program Managers both in-person and virtually.
  • Maintain class schedules and agendas at both locations.
  • Track referral and placement of participants with employer partners at both locations.
  • Provide graduates with follow-on resources (employment resource toolkits, etc.).
  • Assist the Program Manager in tracking and reporting required results and statistics.
  • Track participants’ progress through each step of the program from start to finish.
  • Ensure no student gets ‘lost in the cracks’ and continues to advance employment outcomes for learners.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by O2O Texas Program Manager(s) and National Leadership Team.
  • Assist the Program Manager in developing and distributing ongoing marketing initiatives, including presentations, brochures, press releases, social media, and other promotional materials.
