Description

The Living Edge Lab at Carnegie Mellon University seeks a post-doctoral researcher to advance its mission of creating new and transformative edge-native applications. Excellent conceptual, algorithmic and implementation skills are required, including but not limited to low-level systems programming at the hardware and operating systems level. Excellent skills in applied Machine Learning are also required. The candidate should have a deep understanding of algorithms pertaining to Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) in the context of mobile devices in edge computing, as demonstrated by an extensive publication record in this research area.

Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineerin, or related field required. Strong publication track record. Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities; and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.
